Name: Rebecca Poling

Bio: Rebecca has been active in animal welfare since 2000, working with Feral Friends and Metroplex Animal Coalition. She helped Animal Rescue New Orleans and Alley Cat Allies after Hurricane Katrina. Rebecca was appointed to the City of Dallas Animal Shelter Commission in 2007 and served nearly 8 years. During that time, Rebecca chaired the city’s No Kill Task Force and later co-founded the non-profit Dallas Companion Animal Project. Rebecca served as Social Media Coordinator for Dallas Animal Services from 2012 to 2016, and was instrumental in helping coordinate the City’s response when Bentley, Nina Pham’s beloved dog was exposed to Ebola. She served on the Board of Texas Unites, is a former coordinator of Texas Unites for Animals, the largest regional conference in the country, and co-founded Animal Shelter Social Media community on Facebook. Rebecca joined the Humane Society of Sedona as Director of Communications & Development in 2017.
