Reports To: Manager of Special Gifts & Partnerships

Purpose of the position:
Promote the mission and programs of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Responsible for all online initiatives including:
- Social media: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Flickr, Pinterest
- Online fundraising pages through Luminate
- Online pet bios
- Oversee photography program
- Coordinate direct mail campaigns including writing stories and securing before/after photos
- Oversee photography program including:
- Ensuring photos of all adoptable pets
- Recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers
- Taking photos to assist in marketing objectives
- Coordinate writing, updating, and maintaining animal bios on website
Work with others on the Development team to meet goals by providing input and creativity, and commitment to fundraising
Supervisory responsibilities:
- Interns
- Work cooperatively with all volunteers, recognizing the talent and commitment they bring to the organization
Qualifications:

Education and/or experience:
- Minimum 1 year online marketing or social media experience required
- Minimum 1 year photography experience is required
- Animal handling experience is preferred
- Associates or Bachelors degree in related major preferred
Language ability:
- Ability to speak and write in proper English
- Proficient in accurate spelling and grammar
Mathmatical skills:
- Accuracy in all financials and numbers is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel required

Computer skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in photo editing software

- Accurate and fast typing skills required, 9 key ability preferred
