This is a page for members of the community that XXXX Shelter serves. We encourage open discussion and invite you to share your opinion on our issues.

By participating on this page, you are agreeing to our commenting policy, outlined below.

We reserve the right to delete posts on our page containing any of the following elements:

– profanity
– misinformation
– spam
– off-topic / irrelevant including self-promotional posts not having to do with animals or the organization
– personal attacks (this includes on other commenters)
– promoting violence
– promoting illegal or questionable activities
– circulation of photos which depict animal cruelty. Sharing these photos across the internet does more harm than good because it makes it harder to track down the originator. Often times this is a hoax and is being done for attention.

If you repeatedly violate this policy, you will be removed from our page.

Please do not report animal cruelty via our page, and instead visit our page on reporting cruelty here (link to website page on reporting cruelty).

We appreciate your cooperation and support, and look forward to connecting with each of you!

IMPORTANT:

Please keep in mind that we are not lawyers! Every shelter or rescue group (and every state) has different requirements for what a policy or job description looks like. Social Media for Animals and the originating organizations are simply providing these as examples, and do not guarantee that they would be applicable to your facility, or meet the requirements of your human resources department or applicable laws and regulations.
